VOX Telehealth Launches Orthopedic Advisory Board to Improve Strategies for Patient Engagement, Care and Outcomes

Four Respected Industry Leaders Join Board Bringing Deep Clinical Orthopedic Expertise

Princeton, N.J., November 29, 2016 – VOX Telehealth, a leader in orthopedic patient management programs, today announced a new Orthopedic Advisory Board comprised of clinical and administrative orthopedic leaders. Together, the leaders will steer VOX in delivering solutions that empower patients to become active participants in their care and support healthcare providers in delivering high-quality care, more efficiently. Joining the advisory board are respected orthopedic leaders: Dr. Jay Mabrey, Dr. Michael Kelly, Dr. Michael Boothby, and Wayne Fraleigh.

The VOX Orthopedic Advisory Board, led by Kristi Crowe, was established to garner insights from industry leaders around organizational challenges in managing orthopedic episodes of care. Additionally, the board will help provide clinical and operational guidance in forming effective pathways and protocols supporting the patient navigation process.

Biographical information on the new board members is included below:

Jay Mabrey, MD, MBA, a joint replacement surgeon with Premier Orthopaedics Dallas, specializes in hip and knee disorders and is a leading expert in computer-navigated total knee replacement and holds patents on total knee designs. Dr. Mabrey, who is board certified and fellowship trained, is Chief of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Baylor University Medical Center and Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Texas A&M School of Medicine.

Michael Kelly, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon and is Chief of Orthopedics at Hackensack Meridian Health. Dr. Kelly has been in practice for more than 20 years and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Kelly is also past president of The Knee Society and Director of the Insall Scott Kelly Institute in New York.

Michael Boothby, MD, is a sports medicine orthopedic surgeon who specializes in complex, minimally invasive arthroscopy of the knee and shoulder and total knee replacement. Dr. Boothby is the founder of the Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Institute (OSMI) in Fort Worth, and has consistently been named a top doctor in the area. Previously, Dr. Boothby served as a Major and Orthopedic Surgeon in the US Army Reserve.

Wayne Fraleigh, DPT, MBA, is the Vice President of Operations for Ambulatory Services at Memorial Hermann Health Systems, responsible for the operations, growth, and strategy of Ambulatory Services and serves on the Orthopedic Service Line leadership team. In addition, he oversees the nationally- recognized Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Sports Medicine Institute.
